Steamed Broccoli with Chorizo

Steamed Broccoli with Chorizo

Time: 20 minutes

Serves: 4


  • ¾ cup of water

  • 14 oz broccoli florets

  • 1 ½ oz Mexican chorizo

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp lime juice

  • 1 tsp chopped chipotle chiles canned in adobo sauce

  • 1 tsp adobo sauce

  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro


  1. Boil water in a large skillet.

  2. Add broccoli, cover and simmer for 4 minutes until tender.

  3. Cook the chorizo in the olive oil in a skillet for 3 minutes, stirring to crumble.

  4. Remove chorizo from the heat and stir in the lime juice, chiles, adobo sauce and salt.

  5. To serve top broccoli with the chorizo and sprinkle with cilantro.
